The company has carried out several Projects with the participation of the Industrial Technology Development Centre (ITDC), co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through different R&D&I operational programmes.

GaaS means "G as a Service - A grid platform to develop cloud computing services and solutions", and the GaaS Project is a proposal that elaborates a new service model focused on the network that maximizes the potential of Grid Computing and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) around the new Cloud Computing paradigm. GaaS will deploy network information in a transparent collaborative environment as required by current business needs, by securely accessing available computing resources, with the aim of improving and extending the functionality and performance of operations developed for business.

It is a cooperation project led by Maatg Nozzle S.L. with participation from Informática El Corte Inglés S.A., Hispafuentes S.A. and from Logic Computer S.L. The project has the reference IDI 20100771 and has been legalized in a deed dated 7 October 2010. The start date is 1 April 2010 and the finish date is 31 March 2013. 

The CADASTRAL MANAGEMENT project involves "Developing a New Integrated Cadastral Management System". It aims to modernise computing systems within national administration through developing a new Integrated Cadastral Management System.

The development of a new Integrated Cadastral Management System was conceived from the very beginning to be part of, or even the foundation for, an extensive range of systems, which could be called a National Information System with various uses and functionality that integrates various layers of information or national representations. Therefore, the system should be dynamic, continuous, and able to geographically reference the data it contains, the latter being an attribute that makes it stand out from other traditional cadastres.

It is a cooperation project led by Trabajos Catastrales S.A. with participation from Informática El Corte Inglés S.A. and from Consultoría y Comunicaciones de Navarra S.L.
The project has the reference IDI 20101109 and has been legalized in a deed dated 10 February 2011. The start date is 1 January 2010 and the finish date is 30 September 2013. 

The RIRVE Project is an "Intelligent Recharge Network for Electrical Vehicles". It will facilitate technological change in the automotive market towards sustainable mobility, guaranteeing compatibility of this new market with the requirement for the energy sector to optimise energy distribution and storage. The general objective of the project is to develop a pilot system to manage the supply of energy to electric vehicles.

It is a cooperation project led by Bluemobility Systemas S.L. with participation from Informatica El Corte Ingles, S.A. and from Gas Natural S.D.G. The project has the reference IDI 20101567 and has been legalized in a deed dated 16 June 2011. The start date is 9 April 2010 and the finish date is 30 November 2011. 

The iCUBE3 project is an "Intelligent Modular Platform that collects, interprets and processes geo-information". It aims to develop a platform that integrates technology to provide high added value geographical information.

This requires developing various technologies to capture, store, delete and transfer geographical information, whilst developing further technologies to integrate this information into distributed documentary environments. The information will then be available for analysis together with other information managed by multivariate entities, so the managers of these entities can perform integrated analysis and improve their decision-making. The iCUBE3 platform will facilitate an integral approach to managing the entire classical lifecycle of geospatial information.

It is a cooperation project led by i3Dat Ingeniería y Sistemas S.L. with participation from Informática El Corte Inglés S.A. The project has the reference IDI 20111650 and has been legalized in a deed dated 17 May 2012. The start date is 1 August 2011 and the finish date is 30 April 2013. 

The company is developing a Cooperation Project co-financed by the Industrial Technology Development Centre (ITDC) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Innterconecta ERDF Program for the Galician Autonomous Community. It has support from the Technological Fund - ERDF Funds (R&D Operational Programme) for the benefit of the companies (Technological Fund).

The ACHEGAMED project has been subsidised by the ITDC and the Technological Fund, and it is supported by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness and the Economy and Industry Council at the Government of Galicia through the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN).

The ACHEGAMED project is a "UNIVERSAL ASSISTED DIAGNOSTICS UNIT FOR ILLNESS PREVENTION AND SELF-CONTROL OF HEALTH ISSUES". It aims to bring health care closer to the patient using a unit with integral capabilities to capture and store biomedical parameters in a secure manner, including real-time processing and communication with medical services, should warnings or any pathological indicators be detected. This device will have two marketable formats with distinct uses: a fixed kiosk with direct connection to health care systems, and a portable system that provides universal clinical measurement and care. This will enable innovative medical services to be provided and secure more efficient use of health resources. It will also enable patients to lead a more independent and responsible lives, following the concept of Patient empowerment.

It is a cooperation project led by Tecnologías Plexus S.L. with Imaxdi Real Innovation S.L., Innovaciones Tecnológicas e Investigación en I+D S.A. and Informática El Corte Inglés S.A. as participating partners.

The project has the reference EXP 00063585 / ITC-20133085. The start date is 5 April 2013 and the finish date is 31 December 2014.

The EMOshopping project is a "Technological neuroscience platform to design products by detecting emotions, and technology to improve the shopping experience". It is based on developing a Cloud Computing platform that will compile consumer perceptions regarding lifestyles, products and shopping areas, and will involve the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (UPV). Its objective is to find the most suitable product or experience for each customer, by developing a new intelligent predictive validation system based on an analysis of desires and emotions.

The project objectives include developing new devices that can measure consumer emotions through behavioural analysis and psycho-physiological measurements, and developing devices that enable visualisation and interaction with virtual products. New theories will be elaborated about consumer behaviour and new software applications will be developed using mobile, multi-touch, and sensor technologies, to improve the creativity and design of the shopping experience.

The project has the reference IDI-20120573 and was legalized in a deed dated18 April 2013. The start date is 30 April 2012 and the finish date is 31 December 2014.

The administrative council of the Industrial Technology Development Centre (ITDC) met on 19 December 2014 and approved the Centre's participation in a Research and Development project presented by IECISA called "Agroanalytics - An Intelligent Solution for Agricultural Advice" REF. IDI-20141427. This support is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Madrid ERDF Operational Programme 2007-2016.

Agroanalytics is designed to be a simple solution for all agricultural producers that need constant and current information about the possible dangers to their business (diseases, plagues, etc.). It should be an efficient virtual advisor that can detect these problems and suggest recommendations to prevent them.

AgroAnalytics will take advantage of the latest available technologies to process the huge volumes of data handled by the application, such as Big Data, Cloud Computing and the Internet of Things. The project will be built upon an infrastructure of Generic Enablers available on the FI-WARE platform, with the final objective of becoming one of them.

The main purpose of the AgroAnalytics project is to provide data to a registered user on his mobile device, through SMS, push notifications, etc., or through directly checking the corresponding web application from any device. This would be relevant data and recommendations for preventive treatments, phytosanitary treatments, or other treatments to mitigate potential or existing problems on the user's land.

The proposed solution will improve the competitiveness of both agricultural producers and other agents, optimising human resources and materials employed by completely automating decision making regarding these resources. This optimisation will help to lower the use of products and treatments which are harmful to the environment, thus reducing the ecological footprint of the agricultural industry.

The project has the reference IDI-20141427 and was legalized in a deed dated 12 February 2015. The start date is 1 September 2014 and the finish date is 15 June 2016.

In response to the call issued by the INNTERCONECTA ERDF PROGRAMME for 2015, INFORMÁTICA EL CORTE INGLÉS S.A. formed a group concession to develop the project called SEMANGNITION: SEMANTIC RECOGNITION TOOL FOR CLINICAL DOCUMENTATION. The project is subsidised by the Industrial Technological Development Centre (ITDC), and supported by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO), co-financed with ERDF funds through the "Smart Growth Operational Programme 2014-2020"

The "SEMANGNITION" project is a multi-regional initiative that will take 27 months to complete, which focuses on developing an innovative system that specializes in the syntactic and semantic recognition of information contained in paper-based clinical documentation. It will also integrate Big Data technologies and automatic learning strategies to intelligently use this clinical information. A processing engine will be used to develop an advanced analytics system to create models that support medical decision-making. Therefore, when a new patient presents various pathologies, it will suggest possible treatments. These new developments will be built on a system with an intuitive and user-friendly approach, so that health professionals can use the results, thereby creating an unprecedented support system for clinical decision making.

The project expects to test the final pilot phase of the solution at a reference hospital in Spain, specifically, the Universitario Virgen del Rocío de Sevilla Hospital.

The administrative council of the Industrial Technology Development Centre (ITDC) met on 17 December 2015 and approved the Centre's participation in a Research and Development project presented by INFORMÁTICA EL CORTE INGLÉS, S.A. called "ARE - AUGMENTED RETAIL EXPERIENCE. EXPERIENTIAL INNOVATION AT THE POINT OF SALE".

The project is funded by the Industrial Technology Development Centre (ITDC), and supported by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO), co-funded with ERDF funds through the Multi-Region Smart Growth Operational Programme 2014-2020.

The project aims to improve the shopping experience in physical and virtual shopping environments, by developing revolutionary technologies for the retail sector that would reinforce the point of sale using a more immersive, interactive and personalized shopping experience, which would encourage purchasing and improve customer loyalty. The general objectives of the project include:

  • Measure and analyse the consumer's behaviour and personality traits.
  • Generate an intelligent engine to secure the concept of a living shop.
  • Develop solutions that integrate virtual reality and augmented reality.
  • Develop new digital services that enhance the combined physical and virtual sales experience, GENERATE AN INTEGRATED AUGMENTED RETAIL SOLUTION (IARS) through a modular development introduced to the end customer, which we will validate using two specific pilots.

The project is funded by the Industrial Technology Development Centre (ITDC), and supported by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO), co-funded with ERDF funds through the Multi-Region Smart Growth Operational Programme 2014-2020.

The Intelligent Platform for Tourist Destinations project proposes developing an unprecedented environment that will place the tourist at the essential core of all processes, listening to them, interacting with them, offering them solutions and innovative initiatives, and integrating their requirements into management and decision-making processes, in order to ensure the satisfaction of their tourist experience. For the first time, a solution will be available that combines all this information and interconnects everyone involved in tourism. It will surpass the limitations of current technologies employed by this sector, where information is dispersed, biased and does not include everyone involved.

The new Intelligent Platform for Tourist Destinations proposes a new solution, structured into two large interconnected environments:

  • Intelligent Destination Platform: This is the heart of the system, where centralised and horizontal services are dovetailed into the remaining applications, such as management services, analytical information, etc.
  • Tools: These are the new services, which are defined within four major conceptual groups: Destination branding. Destination tools, or visitor facilities. Sector solutions, or open government. Management centre for tourism resources.
