The RAIA-LEARNING, project, Multi-platform of services for the generation of practical training based in augmented reality and tutorials with artificial intelligence, has been joined by Informática El Corte Inglés within the framework of the AVANZA Plan for the years 2010-2012, in the Avanza R&D Sub-programme for industrial research projects and experimental development, key TSI-020302-2010-155, in project mode or through co-operative actions.

The project involves designers of training programs, producers of practical training exercises, the development of systems for multi-platform rollouts and training service providers to end users. Its main objective is to promote and improve teletraining services, enabling interactive and personalised practical learning through the development of several technological solutions.

IECISA is participating as a member of the project along with Fortec (co-ordinator), Aragon Institute of Technology, Net2You, the Spanish Confederation of Bakery Organisations and Andimac.

The SATURNO, project (SATellite Universal tv Redistribution NetwOrk) has been joined by Informática El Corte Inglés within the framework of the AVANZA Plan for the years 2010-2012, in the Avanza R&D Sub-programme for industrial research projects and experimental development, key TSI-020302-2010-10, in project mode or through co-operative actions.

The project aims to develop devices and systems for the Digital Home to harness the full potential of the content distribution and multimedia service capacities of current and future satellite broadcasting platforms, as well as facilitate access through the different multimedia devices existing in the home.

The project's main motivation is the effective distribution of the new advanced multimedia services (High Definition, Multimedia interactivity and Internet TV, Push Video On Demand, 3D Television), developed around DVB-S2 technology, which can significantly increase the transport capacity of existing satellites, and the sector's need to find innovative distribution systems to allow it to take full advantage of these capabilities, maximising the possibilities and advantages for the end user while reducing the cost of the receiving equipment required.

IECISA has joined the project as a member along with Hispasat (co-ordinator), Blusens Technology, Gigle Networks Iberia, Galicia Telecommunication Technology Centre Foundation, Promax Electrónica and Ángel Iglesias.
