The MCODA Project - Marketing of Customised On-Demand Clothing over the Future Internet, aims to develop a standard platform of advanced services that will enable small and medium sized enterprises in the textile-sector to market customised clothing through ultra broadband networks. The project includes developing the data collection and management system for the virtual 3D fitting room, through to the advanced platform for on-demand production and marketing using the Internet.

The project has been led by Informática El Corte Inglés, with the participation of Fiables IT Outsourcing Services, Metria Digital, Soluciones Antropométricas, Teikhos Tech, and the R&D entities Centro de Tecnologías de Interaccion Visual y Comunicaciones VICOMTECH and the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.

The PLIFED project - Future Internet Platform for Sports Events, with the participation of Informatica El Corte Ingles within the framework of the AVANZA plan for 2009-2010, in its Avanza R&D Sub-programme for industrial research or experimental development projects, under the reference TSI-020501-2009-813, as a project or cooperative plan.

The main objective of the project is to create an interactive service platform for television that will facilitate the development of applications and services for sports broadcasting, from information about the event to real time statistics. The project involves developing demo apps for broadcasting the main sporting events, MotoGP, Formula 1, and Football.

The project has been led by MSL Software, with the participation of Informática El Corte Inglés, Magicbox Interactive, Acubo, La Sexta, RTVE (Teledeporte) and the R&D entities Vicomtech and the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.

The MULTILEARNING project - Training Services Platform to Migrate Scorm Learning Objects to other Devices (DTT, Mobile, Consoles), with the participation of Informatica El Corte Ingles within the framework of the AVANZA plan for 2009-2010, in its Avanza R&D Sub-programme for industrial research or experimental development projects, under the reference TSI-020312-2009-31, as a project or cooperative plan.

The main objective of the project is to develop solutions, tools, processes or organisational methods to create, edit, store, electronically distribute and re-use digital contents related to training in the scope of interactive digital television as well as in other platforms. The project includes the launching of a demonstrator for certain productive sectors.

Informática El Corte Inglés participates in the project as a partner alongside Fortec (coordinator), Instituto Tecnológico de Aragón, Net2You and Andimat.

The RAIA-LEARNING project - Multi-platform Services for Training Practices Based on Augmented Reality and Tutorial Agents with Artificial Intelligence, with the participation of Informática El Corte Ingles within the framework of the AVANZA plan for 2010-2012, in its Avanza R&D Sub-programme for industrial research or experimental development projects, under the reference TSI-020302-2010-155, as a project or cooperative plan.

The project involves training programme designers, producers of training practices, system developers for multi-platform deployments, and training service providers for end users. The main objective is encouraging and improving tele-training services, enabling practical learning in an interactive and personalised way, through the development of various technological solutions.

Informática El Corte Inglés participates in the project as a partner alongside Fortec (coordinator), Instituto Tecnológico de Aragón, Net2You, Confederación Española de Organizaciones de Panadería and Andimac.

The SATURNO project, SATellite Universal tv Redistribution NetwOrk, with the participation of Informatica El Corte Ingles within the framework of the AVANZA plan for 2010-2012, in its Avanza R&D Sub-programme for industrial research or experimental development projects, under the reference TSI-020302-2010-10, as a project or cooperative plan.

The main objective of the project is to develop devices and systems for the Digital Home that will take advantage of current and future satellite based platforms that can distribute multimedia content and services, as well as facilitating access through various multimedia devices at home.

The project's main aim is the effective distribution of new advanced multimedia services (High Definition, Multimedia Interactivity and Internet TV, Push Video On Demand, 3D TV), developed around the DVB-S2 technology. This technology considerably increases the broadcasting capacity of existing satellites, and resolves the sector's need to find innovative distribution systems that can take advantage of these capacities, maximising possibilities and benefits for end users and reducing the cost of the receiving equipment required.

IECISA participates in the project as a partner with Hispasat (coordinator), Blusens Technology, Gigle Networks Iberica, Fundación Centro Tecnológico de Telecomunicación de Galicia, Promax Electrónica and Ángel Iglesias.

The FOOD TRACEABILITY project, with the participation of Informatica El Corte Ingles within the framework of the AVANZA plan for 2009 and 2010, in its Avanza R&D Sub-programme for digital contents and IT solutions for small and medium enterprises, under the reference TSI-020515-2009-17, as a project or cooperative plan.

The objective of the Traz@limentaria project is to develop a food traceability management system in 50 small and medium enterprises in the wine, meats, preserves, oil, and milk products sector, plus sample labs responsible for food quality management and waste treatment.

These tools made available to small and medium enterprises in the food industry not only increase productivity, but also ensure compliance with the current Food Traceability control regulations, implementing a Dangers and Critical Control Points Analysis System -APPCC- (Royal Decree 2270/95 for the establishment of self-control measures in the application of APPCC and its compulsory nature in R.D. 202/200) and monitoring mechanisms for product traceability.

From 1 January 2005, the European Union requires all companies in the food sector to use a product traceability verification system. The "Food law" (Regulation CE 178/2002 of the European Parliament and the Council which establishes the principles and general requirements of food legislation) establishes the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and requires various obligatory procedures. Traceability guarantees the origin and transparency of food and eliminates any fraudulent practices or adulterated consumer products.

The project requestor is Informática El Corte Inglés, S.A. (IECISA), in cooperation with Knowgate, S.L.
